Laser Therapy North Canberra
Available alongside chiropractic care or as a standalone service
Synergy Chiropractic Centre in Macquarie offers low-level laser therapy (LLLT) as part of our range of care options. It is available as a standalone service or alongside chiropractic care, depending on your presentation and goals. Our chiropractors will discuss whether it is appropriate for your situation as part of your assessment.
Conditions where laser therapy may be considered
Soft tissue injuries, including muscle strains and tears
Tendinopathy and tendon complaints
Inflammation and swelling
Joint pain and arthritis
Wound healing support
Scar tissue management
Nerve-related pain
Low-level laser therapy uses light energy at specific wavelengths to interact with tissue at a cellular level. It is non-invasive, painless, and does not produce heat. The evidence base for LLLT continues to develop, and our chiropractors will discuss the research relevant to your specific presentation as part of the conversation about whether it is appropriate for you.
Hot and cold laser
We offer both hot laser and cold laser options. The choice between them depends on the nature of the complaint, the tissue involved, and the stage of the condition. Your chiropractor will explain the reasoning for the recommendation in the context of your assessment findings.
Do I need to see a chiropractor first?
Laser therapy is available as a standalone service, but in most cases a brief assessment is recommended first so that the therapy can be applied appropriately and safely. If you have a recent diagnosis from another practitioner and want to discuss whether laser therapy may be a useful addition to your management, please contact us and we can advise from there.
